Super Mario Strikers

Super Mario Strikers Super Mario Strikers was released in 2005 among many countries and was often well reviewed according to Nintendo. Super Mario Strikers is a fast paced game featuring all of Mario's beloved characters. In the game you can attack other players while playing soccer to steal the ball from them with no referees it is entirely legal. The teams feature a goal keeper, a main character of the Mario franchise(the captain), and three of the same secondary characters to Mario. These secondary characters are characters that it is okay to have, like Goomba's, Shy guys, Toads and Boo's.  Game Play The game consists of a five to side soccer match with the teams listed above. The goal keeper for every time except the "Super Team" is a Kritter. During the game the controls are dash, tackle, lob, pass and shoot. This is what people come for, the ability to completely destroy someone in a sport without getting any penalties. Shooting also can be made to be

Sonic Battle Adventure 2

Sonic Adventure 2 Sonic was not a well known game in my family tree, we primarily focus on Nintendo games. Despite my families rivalry with Sega this was one of the only games I have played that is by Sega. This game consists of a story mode, a ChoaWorld, as well as a versus mode. The game is a 3D game were Sonic or five other characters complete stages for either good or bad to complete the story mode. The choice between good and bad enables you to choose from either playing as Sonic, Knuckles and Tails or you can choose evil and your choices will be Shadow, Rouge, and Dr. Eggman. I personally choice evil almost every time due to the difference in the choices of Chao's that are unlocked faster, The choice does not really change the levels that much, for example the first level of Sonic and Shadow's story consists of racing through town to get the end, while Knuckles and Rouge's levels are spent digging in various area's for emeralds. While Dr. Eggman and Tail's l

Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing Animal Crossing is a very popular game that has had many remakes for almost every Nintendo system. This results in a large variation between games, but they mostly follow the same plot. The plot of the game is that you are greeted on a bus, train, or some vehicle by a friend of the towns shop owner. In Animal Crossing for the GameCube you are greeted by a friend of Tom Nook on a train, where you get to choose your desired name, gender as well as the name of the town you would like to create. As well as creating your town you are forced into a job, your new friend asks if you have enough money to have a living in this new town, which results in him making a phone call to Tom Nook, the local store owner. As you reach your destination you are greeted by Tom Nook, which leads you to your new home. The Arrival When you reach your destination with Nook you are greeted by a town square of four houses that all have different colored roofs and a sign in the middle of the s

Pokemon XD Gale Of Darkness, A long Grinding Game

Pokemon XD Gale Of Darkness Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness is a complicated game that I believe when I first tried it I was too young to fully grasp the game. I played it again recently for around two weeks straight after my wisdom teeth were removed. While being bed ridden by that with a combination of a sickness I played this game constantly. This game starts as a cut scene of the legendary Pokemon Lugia attacking a large ship and abducting it, then it cuts to your character watching TV in a lounge. As you explore where you are, eventually you discover that you are working in a lab under your mother. You have to do tasks with your sister which takes you to the Dr's place, where you experience your first battle with your level 5 Evee. After winning you take your sister home and are sent to pick up parts for the new creation, at the port where the parts are you can talk to a man in the parts shop to get a stone to evolve your Evee into whatever Eveelution you would like. After this

Kirby's Air Ride, A Game For Everyone

A Game For Everyone Kirby's Air Ride is a GameCube game that was released in 2003 which contains three different game modes each with their own unique twist on Kirby's adventure. The first begins with Air Ride which is a racing game mode that involves Kirby and all his different colors racing on courses to unlock more vehicles, more characters, and more courses. The way that this is done is by the game starting out with only a few vehicles and a few races. As you beat the races and learn how to control Kirby while he is on these vehicles you unlock more courses in the air ride section as well as different Kirby's. While it may sound boring to just race, this is not just racing. These courses have specific short cuts as well as being able to be KO'ed during the race by enemies or other racers. The enemies are not hard to beat but if you challenge too many of them chances are another player with KO you leaving you disqualified for the race. These enemies are beaten by u

Luigi's Mansion, A Game for Beginners

Luigi's Mansion, For Beginners Luigi's Mansion is a game that I played often and was one of the first games that I beat as a child. I would play this game every chance I got, due to how it is very basic to follow. The game begins with Luigi walking up to an old looking mansion with a flyer that says he had won a mansion with a picture of a nice modern mansion, but the mansion he won is actually an old mansion that is haunted. Mario had to come to the mansion before Luigi and Luigi is searching for Mario, as you walk in you have to find a room where a three ghosts jump out and start harassing Luigi. This is followed up with Professor E Gadd saving you from the ghosts barely with his vacuum machine. This is where you learn that the mansion is over run with ghosts who have taken Mario. This is where Luigi takes over to rescue his brother by taking on the ghosts in the mansion to find his brother with the help of E Gadd's inventions. Armed with a flashlight and a special v

Pikmin 2, A Hard Game

Pikmin 2 Pikmin 2 is an excellent game for the GameCube, it is the sequel to Pikmin. It was released in 2004 as a strategy game, which it follows very clearly. The game starts with a cut-scene that shows that their planet is in debt to a loan shark and Olimar's boss sends Olimar and Louie to go into space back to the planet that Olimar was at in Pikmin 1. The game begins after another cut-scene of Louie being thrown out of the ship in a crash landing. Louie is separated and discovers a red pikmin which is where your treasure hunting journey begins. This game is all about creating as many Pikmin as you can due to their special abilities which I will talk about later. As you discover new species you unlock new areas and features. As you create more Pikmin you can take on challenges which come through as multiple layered dungeons which require certain types of Pikmin to defeat. These dungeons are disguised as little water spots that you can hop into. In these caves you can not cr
