Kirby's Air Ride, A Game For Everyone

A Game For Everyone Kirby's Air Ride is a GameCube game that was released in 2003 which contains three different game modes each with their own unique twist on Kirby's adventure. The first begins with Air Ride which is a racing game mode that involves Kirby and all his different colors racing on courses to unlock more vehicles, more characters, and more courses. The way that this is done is by the game starting out with only a few vehicles and a few races. As you beat the races and learn how to control Kirby while he is on these vehicles you unlock more courses in the air ride section as well as different Kirby's. While it may sound boring to just race, this is not just racing. These courses have specific short cuts as well as being able to be KO'ed during the race by enemies or other racers. The enemies are not hard to beat but if you challenge too many of them chances are another player with KO you leaving you disqualified for the race. These enemies are beaten by u

Luigi's Mansion, A Game for Beginners

Luigi's Mansion, For Beginners Luigi's Mansion is a game that I played often and was one of the first games that I beat as a child. I would play this game every chance I got, due to how it is very basic to follow. The game begins with Luigi walking up to an old looking mansion with a flyer that says he had won a mansion with a picture of a nice modern mansion, but the mansion he won is actually an old mansion that is haunted. Mario had to come to the mansion before Luigi and Luigi is searching for Mario, as you walk in you have to find a room where a three ghosts jump out and start harassing Luigi. This is followed up with Professor E Gadd saving you from the ghosts barely with his vacuum machine. This is where you learn that the mansion is over run with ghosts who have taken Mario. This is where Luigi takes over to rescue his brother by taking on the ghosts in the mansion to find his brother with the help of E Gadd's inventions. Armed with a flashlight and a special v

Pikmin 2, A Hard Game

Pikmin 2 Pikmin 2 is an excellent game for the GameCube, it is the sequel to Pikmin. It was released in 2004 as a strategy game, which it follows very clearly. The game starts with a cut-scene that shows that their planet is in debt to a loan shark and Olimar's boss sends Olimar and Louie to go into space back to the planet that Olimar was at in Pikmin 1. The game begins after another cut-scene of Louie being thrown out of the ship in a crash landing. Louie is separated and discovers a red pikmin which is where your treasure hunting journey begins. This game is all about creating as many Pikmin as you can due to their special abilities which I will talk about later. As you discover new species you unlock new areas and features. As you create more Pikmin you can take on challenges which come through as multiple layered dungeons which require certain types of Pikmin to defeat. These dungeons are disguised as little water spots that you can hop into. In these caves you can not cr

Lost Kingdoms II, A different type of games

Lost Kingdoms II, A Different Strategy Lost Kingdoms II is one of my favorite games, due to how it was very different to every other game on the GameCube. The plot of the game is that you are a princess who was taken in by a guild of thieves after being removed from her kingdom due to how the royal family had twins and at a young age they had to remove one of them so that their would only be one heir to the through. There is a cut scene early in the game where it shows the two girls riding in a back of a wagon through town and one of them falls out, this is Tara the main character of this game. When you play the game further you begin to learn all the problems with this world and how there are evil kingdoms trying to take over the world and unleash a very powerful god that you end up fighting. As I described this game to all my friends, I describe it as a game where you tackle different levels each time earning new cards that can be put into your deck of monsters to summon. These de

Super Mario Sunshine, A Beautiful Game

Super Mario Sunshine, A Beautiful Game Super Mario Sunshine was released in 2002 for the Nintendo GameCube, it is a game that starts out with Mario on a plane with Peach, Toadstool and a few Toads, which has to take an emergency landing on an island a few miles further away from their destination, almost crashing. They almost crash due to how there is a giant painted piranha plant in the center of the runway, which is attacking the citizens, covering them in a goop that forces them to go underground. This is where you begin to see the problems that the island is having which is a major part of the plot of the game. As Mario is uncovering this peach believes she sees a liquid blue Mario on top of one of the buildings, but believes it is just a heat mirage. As you are allowed to play after this you have to go to the other side of the island to grab Fludd, Fludd is a device similar to a water jet pack that also has a nozzle to spray these painted creatures and save the islands. Fludd al

The Best Paper Mario

Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door In my opinion Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door is the best Paper Mario to come out, as a game that came out in 2004 it is still known for its story line and being a game that really sticks in a persons mind due to how it has deep character development. Not only is this game an extremely entertaining game, but it also has many benefits. For example, the game teaches players key character development skills. A major skill being the importance of teamwork and cooperation. As many people carry out their lives, they are going to be in situations almost everyday where they need to work with other people and know how to cooperatively get along with one another. Throughout the stages of the game, you move through chapters, in each new chapter you acquire a new partner to help you move through the stages, which teaches players how to work with different types of people in different situations to solve problems. A large part of the game is developing Ma
